9 latest hospital, health system executive retirements

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive retirements in the last three weeks. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Rockford, Ill.-based SwedishAmerican Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning Tom Myers is retiring, effective July 1.

2. Jerry R. Jackson, vice president of engineering, facilities and property management at Quincy, Ill.-based Blessing Health System, has retired.

3. Medford-based Providence Medical Group-Southern Oregon Chief Executive Cindy Mayo, MSN, is retiring in August.

4. Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health Senior Vice President and CFO Ronald J. Knaus plans to retire Jan. 1, 2018.

5. Corvallis, Ore.-based Samaritan Health Services President and CEO Larry Mullins is stepping down at the end of the year, and he will transition into semi-retirement.

6. Canton, Ohio-based Mercy Medical Center President and CEO Thomas E. Cecconi is retiring, effective Dec. 31.

7. Bayfront Health-St. Petersburg (Fla.) CEO Kathryn Gillette is planning to retire in August.

8. Ronald R. Peterson, president of Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Health System, announced his retirement.

9. Sallisaw, Okla.-based Sequoyah Memorial Hospital Administrator/CEO Debbie Knoke retired.
