7 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

The following hospital and health system CEO moves were reported in Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Anthony Armada, the CEO of Seattle-based Swedish Health Services, resigned just days after a Seattle Times report prompted state regulators to investigate the Swedish Neuroscience Institute on the Cherry Hill campus in Seattle.

2. Visalia, Calif.-based Kaweah Delta Health Care District named Tom Rayner interim CEO, effective March 31, 2017.

3. St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling, La., which is affiliated with New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System, named Austin Reeder CEO.

4. University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center dropped the 'interim' from CEO Dan Barbee's title.

5. Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Miss., is dropping the 'interim' from CEO Benjamin Richaud's title.

6. Fort Lauderdale-based Hospital Corporation of America East Florida appointed Joseph D. Melchiode CEO of Mercy Hospital in Miami, a campus of Plantation General Hospital.

7. Mountain View Regional Hospital in Casper, Wyo., tapped Renee Schroyer to serve as CEO.
