4 things to know about Alameda Health System’s newly appointed CEO

Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda Health System has appointed Delvecchio S. Finley CEO.

Mr. Finley will begin his new position in August.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Finley.

1. Mr. Finley is CEO for Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Calif., a role he has held since fall 2011.

2. Prior to becoming CEO of Harbor-UCLA, Mr. Finley served as the vice president of operations at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

3. Mr. Finley has extensive experience in public hospitals, according to Alameda. He previously served as division administrator at the University of California, San Francisco. He also served as an associate administrator at San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center as well as interim COO at Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in San Francisco.

4. Mr. Finley is a past president of the California Association of Healthcare Leaders and past president of the Northern California Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives.
