4 CEO retirements in 1 month

Becker’s reported on four healthcare CEOs’ retirement announcements between May 15 and June 11:

1. Steven Packer, MD, president and CEO of Monterey, Calif.-based Montage Health, plans to retire in spring 2025 after 25 years in the role. 

2. Euan MacGregor was appointed CEO of Virginia Gay Hospital and Clinics in Vinton, Iowa. He succeeds Michele Schoonover, who retired June 7. 

3. Rick Haines, president and CEO of Canton, Ohio-based Aultman Health Foundation, shared plans to retire, effective July 1.

4. Rod Hochman, MD, will retire as president and CEO of Renton, Wash.-based Providence at the end of 2024.
