2 hospitals tap former pharmacy director for president

Denise Needham, PharmD, will become president of two Maine hospitals, effective May 8.

Dr. Needham began her career as a pharmacist at Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health before joining Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport and Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast as pharmacy director in 2015. She then became chief operating officer in 2021, according to a news release from MaineHealth. 

She will replace Mark Fourre, MD, who will retire June 2.
