Carrie Penovich will succeed Robert Smith as president-Wisconsin southeast division, according to an Aug. 28 news release from the health system.
Ms. Penovich will oversee day-to-day and strategic operations at Aspirus Plover Hospital in Stevens Point, Wis., and Aspirus Stevens Point (Wis.) Hospital. She most recently served as chief administrative officer for the system’s Wisconsin southeast division, the release said.
Chris Squire will succeed Brian Kief as president-Wisconsin south and southwest divisions. Mr. Squire will oversee Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage and Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, the release said.
Mr. Squire previously led Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylor, Mich., as its CEO since 2021.
Mr. Smith will retire in September, and Mr. Kief will retire in December from the 18-hospital system.
