West Virginia’s Raleigh General Picks New CEO

Allen E. Peters has been appointed CEO of Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, W.V., effective early August, according to a local CBS news report.

Mr. Peters joins RGH after serving as CEO of Valley View Medical Center in Ft. Mohave, Ariz., since 2008. During that time, he oversaw a $1.2 million expansion of the hospital’s emergency department and another $8 million expansion covering several hospital departments, including a new pediatric unit, according to the news report.

Mr. Peters succeeds interim CEO Gary Hill, who has been serving in that capacity since January.
