Dr. David Pizzuto Named CMO of Waterbury Hospital in Connecticut

David Pizzuto, MD, has been named vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer of Waterbury (Conn.) Hospital, according to a Republican American news report.

Dr. Pizzuto, who specializes in internal medicine, replaced Steven Schneider, MD, who left a few weeks earlier to serve as president of Trinity Medical Group, a multi-specialty group affiliated with Saint Mary’s Hospital, also in Waterbury.

In his new position, Dr. Pizzuto will manage key clinical departments, including the residency and hospitalist programs and the emergency department.
