12 Hospital and Health System Executive Moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves occurred within the past week, beginning with the most recent.

1. LaGrangeville, N.Y.-based Health Quest announced the appointment of Luke McGuinness as president and CEO.

2. Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville, N.C., announced the retirement of CEO Vince Cherry effective Dec. 31.

3. Culpeper (Va.) Regional Health System announced that its President and CEO Lee Kirk is stepping down, effective October 2014.

4. Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., named Farrell Hayes COO.

5. East Meadow, N.Y.-based NuHealth's CEO Arthur Gianelli resigned.

6. Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, Calif., named Russell Judd CEO.

7. Gordon (Neb.) Memorial Health Services named Joshua R. Kotter, JD, CEO.

8. Colton, Calif.-based Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's Director Patrick Petre, the hospital's top administrator, resigned.

9. Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Regional Health Center announced the appointment of Dean French, MD, as CEO.

10. Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America announced the appointment of Robert F. Carrel as president of HCA's Richmond, Va.-based Capital Division, effective Jan. 1.

11. Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, N.Y., announced that President and CEO Mark A. Webster, will leave his post, effective Dec. 31.

12. Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La., announced the appointment of Patricia A. Flowers, RN, as acting CEO.
