11 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker’s Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Salem, Va.-based LewisGale Regional Health System CEO Brian Baumgardner is retiring, effective June 1.

2. David Brandon, president and CEO of UnityPoint Health-Dubuque (Iowa), is resigning, effective June 1.

3. Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis, Ala., selected Douglas L. Brewer to serve as CEO.

4. Justin Davis, CEO of Scranton, Pa.-based Moses Taylor Hospital and Regional Hospital of Scranton, is resigning June 5.

5. HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Ill., selected Patti Fischer to serve as its permanent president and CEO.

6. Gordon (Neb.) Memorial Health Services selected Allen Gamble to serve as interim CEO.

7. Jeffrey Kepple, MD, CEO of Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, Calif., is departing at the end of 2018.

8. Santa Fe, N.M.-based Christus St Vincent Health System appointed Lillian Montoya president and CEO, effective June 15.

9. Bay City, Texas-based Matagorda County Hospital District CEO Steve Smith resigned, effective May 1.

10. Ekalaka, Mont.-based Dahl Memorial Healthcare appointed Ryan Tooke CEO, effective July 1.

11. Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare appointed Steven D. Wilkinson CEO of its Kansas City Region.
