CFO Steven Glass: Extending Cleveland Clinic's Reach

Cleveland Clinic CFO Steven Glass oversees a global network of facilities, including 4,400 beds system-wide and a soon-to-be completed campus in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The clinic's total grant and contract revenue totals $171 million annually.

Steven Glass is CFO of Cleveland Clinci.Moody's Investors Service assigned a high "Aa2" rating to $475 million in the system's fixed rate bonds, pointing to the system's 4.6 percent operating margin in fiscal year 2011. Cleveland Clinic also had 240 days cash on hand by the end of that calendar year.

Mr. Glass took on the CFO role in June 2005, having previously served as the system's controller and chief accounting officer since 2002. Before that, he worked in vice presidential and director roles at Washington, D.C.-based MedStar Health.

Glass, a CPA, holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Towson University.
