Mr. Kowalski has served Mercy Health in various roles since 2004. Before becoming CFO, he was COO for Mercy Health — West Hospitals. He spearheaded the planning, strategy and execution of opening Mercy Health’s West Hospital in Cincinnati. He also served as president and CEO of the system’s Western Hills Hospital, also in Cincinnati. He originally joined Mercy as COO of Western Hills Hospital.
Before joining Mercy, Mr. Kowalski served as CFO of Havasu Regional Medical Center in Havasu City, Ariz. He was also of Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, Nev.
He holds an MBA and certificate of public health administration from the Downers Grove, Ill.-based DeVry University Keller Graduate School of Management. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
