In her role as CEO, Ms. Cowperthwait has helped develop project plans initiating the construction of the expansion of Lourdes Specialty hospital by 39 beds.
Ms. Cowperthwait’s background includes critical care nursing, education, infection control, outcomes management and business development. Previously, Ms. Cowperthwait served as vice president of provider relations for Acuity Healthcare headquartered in Austin, and she is known for her ability to build and sustain patient referral networks with physicians and hospitals, advance hospital quality and improve operating performance.
Ms. Cowperthwait is also an active member of the Association of Practitioners in Infection Control, the New Jersey State Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the New Jersey Hospital Association, American Hospital Association and is a council member of the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute and Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
