The kit allows home healthcare providers to conduct exams, while linking live with a remotely located physician. The video feed is transmitted to the physician via a HIPAA compliant cloud-based platform that Zeriscope developed.

The kit includes a tablet as well as a number of exam sensors including a blood pressure monitor, a high definition Bluetooth stethoscope, exam/wound camera and other peripherals.

“Many telemedicine systems require big investments and smooth floors in a medical facility,” says Robert Adams, MD, a neurologist at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and a leader of its tele-stroke network. “The low-cost, portable Zeriscope system opens up a new universe of applications across numerous healthcare models and practices.”
