Wound analysis startup Tissue Analytics raises $1.9M from unnamed investors

Tissue Analytics, a health IT startup for wound analysis, has raised $1.9 million, reports Baltimore Business Journal. The company plans to use the money on marketing and sales efforts.

The company’s mobile app takes and sends pictures of wounds to clinicians who can then analyze them and track their progress, according to the report.

Kevin Keenahan and Josh Budman, biomedical engineers from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University, and Gabriel Brat, MD, a surgeon at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, founded the company in 2014.
