The majority of IT professionals (80 percent) cite infected or compromised devices as their biggest fear, according to a report from software company OPSWAT. Other concerns include lack of device encryption (42 percent) and devices that have riskware or greyware installed (35 percent).
To combat device risks, IT professionals turn to various strategies. They check the following to determine device compliance:
• Antivirus software: 88 percent
• Firewalls: 81 percent
• Encryption: 67 percent
• Password protection: 65 percent
