The free mobile app is available for both iPhone and Android smartphones. It allows users to find patient rooms, hospital departments and other locations via their phone. The app includes both maps and detailed written instructions. The app is customizable.
“Navigating an unknown building is difficult in itself, then you have the added stress of medical situations,” said hospital spokeswoman Stephanie Wagoner. The hospital’s Patient and Family Centered Care group helped Benjamin Marasco, Pathpoint CEO, design the app.
