Warren Buffett amps up Apple holdings by 55%

After purchasing $1 billion in Apple stock in May, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has increased its stake in Apple stock by 55 percent, according to the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

The transaction, which occurred during the second quarter, puts Berkshire Hathaway’s holdings in Apple stock at a $1.46 billion, according to Yahoo Finance. The company owns 15.2 million shares.
