Warren Buffett buys $1B in Apple stock

Berkshire Hathaway, the investment firm owned by Warren Buffett, reported owning 9.81 million shares of Apple stock, valued at a little more than $1 billion, reports The Wall Street Journal.

However, the investment value fell after Apple reported a decline in quarterly revenue last month for the first time in 13 years.

In an email to WSJ, Mr. Buffett said one of his “stockpicking lieutenants” made the investment in Apple, as he himself has previously said he does not fully understand the technology sector.
