The online platform offers informational resources and content about skin care, such as information on common skin conditions like acne and eczema through a partnership with online health information source WebMD. The platform will also offer product recommendations and 24/7 online chat functions with Walgreens pharmacy staff.
Also offered through the platform is a teledermatology service called DermatologistsOnCall. Walgreens partnered with Iagnosis, a teledermatology solution provider, for the offering.
“This is another example of combining innovation and convenience to deliver tools and services that help deliver quality and affordable care to our customers anywhere, anytime,” said Harry Leider, MD, Walgreens’ CMO. “The teledermatology offering and collaboration is a natural extension of some of the services we already provide and can serve as a resource for screening and potential early diagnosis of a variety of skin conditions.”
