Vocera finalizes $14M contract with DoD

San Jose, Calif.-based Vocera has secured the largest contract in its history — a $14 million agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense.

Through the contract, Vocera will equip healthcare workers with its wireless communication solution in 23 U.S. Army Medical Command facilities. Deployment will begin this month. Vocera's communication platform allows healthcare workers to connect with each other and integrates more than 120 clinical systems.

"Vocera is proud to be the standard for wireless hospital communication for the U.S. Army Medical Command worldwide," said Vocera President and CEO Brent Lang. "In mission-critical environments such as hospitals, it's vital for mobile workers to have reliable technology that connects them instantly with the right person or information at the right time to deliver high-quality care and ensure patient safety and satisfaction."
