The contract, which is a fixed-price task order, was developed to modernize the VA’s IT infrastructure. The contract is the first in a series of long-term government initiatives to increase interoperability and data sharing between the VA, DOD and other external agencies.

The task order has a one-year base performance period, along with two one-year options. The total contract is valued at $29 million if all options are exercised.
