VA appoints new chief information security officer

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has named Dominic Cussatt its acting chief information security officer, according to FedScoop.

Mr. Cussatt is an executive in the VA Office of Information and Technology’s Enterprise Cybersecurity Strategy team, according to FedScoop. Prior to joining the VA, he served as a deputy CISO at the U.S. Department of Defense.

Roopangi Kadakia, the most recent CISO at the veteran benefit system, will now work as a cloud implementation expert at the VA’s Enterprise Program Management Office. Ms. Kadakia previously worked at NASA, where she served as a web services executive, according to FedScoop.
