As of the second fiscal quarter of 2013, just 1.6 percent of the 19,085 ambulatory clinics across the country have reached Stage 7.
“The development and adoption of advanced EMR technology is a top priority for MU Health Care because of its benefit to patient care,” said Thomas Selva, MD, CMO of MU Health Care and a professor of child health at the MU School of Medicine in Columbia, in a news release. “Our achievement of this Stage 7 designation means physicians have immediate access to their patients’ complete medical records electronically in the hospital and the clinic, helping them provide the best care.”
