Tissue Analytics snags $5M in Series A funding

Tissue Analytics, a health IT startup focused on enhancing wound care, gained $5 million in a Series A financing round, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

The company’s mobile platform offers wound recovery analysis and tracking capabilities. The new funds will be used to expand the sales team at the company’s recently opened satellite office in Kansas City, Mo. It will also be used to add data analytics personnel to the company’s headquarters in Baltimore.

The startup has entered into partnerships with numerous health IT and EHR providers, including athenahealth, Allscripts and Epic.

DigiTx Partners, a digital healthcare private equity firm, led the Series A funding round.
