UnitedAg expands Teladoc partnership for behavioral health services

UnitedAg, an agricultural trade association and association health plan, has expanded its relationship with Teladoc to include coverage for behavioral health, dermatology and smoking cessation services.

The two organizations hope that the behavioral health services will be particularly beneficial for the trade association’s members, since many agricultural workers face social and physical challenges when seeking mental healthcare. Men who work in the farming, fishing and forestry industries have the highest suicide rate of any occupational group, according to a CDC report.

“Since we joined Teladoc in July 2015, our members have continued to use and rely on their telehealth benefits, so the choice to further expand this relationship is a logical one,” said Kirti Mutatkar, president and CEO of UnitedAg.
