In December 2016, the telehealth provider Teladoc surpassed 2 million patient visits.

This achievement builds on the 1 million-patient visit landmark the company reported in October 2015. A recent Veracity Analytics study — led by Niteesh Choudhry, MD, PhD, of Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston — determined that these 2 million visits represent more than $900 million that Teladoc has saved its clients.

“Since taking Teladoc public just 18 months ago we have reached the inflection point for utilization and adoption, and we are excited about the impact we can make, working together with our clients, in 2017,” said Jason Gorevic, CEO of Teladoc.
