University of Alabama at Birmingham startup ReACT FND Health is expanding its telehealth solution for functional neurological disorder.
Founded in 2024, the company has treated 155 patients from 30 states with its specialized therapy sessions. It recently launched in California and New York.
“Through ReACT, patients learn concrete, skill-based strategies to prevent symptoms from occurring or stop them once they begin,” said Aaron Fobian, PhD, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral neurobiology at Birmingham-based UAB Medicine and founder of ReACT FND Health, in a February news release. “This approach helps patients regain a sense of control over their bodies, resulting in meaningful reductions in the frequency and severity of symptoms.”
