The group plans to rollout the program at 88 skilled nursing facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia over the next few months. Twenty-four facilities throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana will be the first to install the telemedicine technology.

The program will enable patients to speak with physicians at any time. Physicians will be aided by an on-site nurse and a tech cart equipped with medical equipment. They will interact with patients via video and assess their condition. The technology will also be used when a patient’s physician needs a second opinion.
