The two organizations launched Pacify, an app for new mothers who live in rural southwest Virginia and who are participating in the Virginia WIC Program. The telehealth app connects these women with 24/7 pediatric care services, with a focus on helping mothers with breast-feeding problems.
Pacify Health reports that more than 60 mothers have enrolled in the Pacify service since the company partnered with the Virginia WIC Program in September 2016, according to The Roanoke Times. For a typical call placed through the app, a nurse, nutritionist or lactation consultant responds within 21 seconds, according to Pacify Health.
