The new service, called Memorial Care Now, is available on both Apple and Android devices. Patients who use the telehealth app can schedule a video chat appointment with an emergency department or urgent care physician.
Virtual appointments completed through the service cost $50, with or without health insurance.
Last month, Memorial Health System received an almost $500,000 federal grant to develop a telehealth program geared toward treating opioid addiction, according to the report.
