Through the partnership, pediatric patients at Northwest Community Healthcare will have access to pediatric specialists from Lurie Children’s Hospital via video conferencing. The goal of the program is to enable local pediatric patients to receive specialized care at Northwest Community Healthcare rather than having to travel into Chicago.
“The goal is to keep pediatric patients in their own community surrounded by family and friends so that they can heal better,” said Katie Bohling, director of telemedicine programs at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
