The Methodist NOW allows patients to connect virtually with Methodist providers. It provides online interviews and real-time chat functionality that connects patients and providers. Based on the interviews and virtual chats, Methodist providers can offer diagnosis and treatment plans as well as send prescriptions to the patient’s preferred pharmacy.
Patients can participate in the virtual visit via their smartphones, tablets or computers for a set fee of $40. Methodist will soon allow patients to subscribe to the service, which will allow them to receive unlimited visits for a monthly fee.
