Individuals in cities along the Gulf Coast in Texas and Louisiana have access to one free nonemergency medical visit. To access the one-time service, an individual may schedule a phone or video visit at no charge by calling MDLive at 888-959-9516 and providing the code “HARVEY.”

“Hurricanes may make it more difficult or even impossible for some people to obtain health services at a physical location,” according to an MDLive media advisory. “Damage to roads, public and private transportation and facilities are potential barriers to people who need to connect with a board-certified doctor.”
