Through the partnership, H1VN neurologists and psychiatrists can connect with Sedgwick County Health Center emergency physicians and providers through a telemedicine cart. The technology includes a mobile cart with an onboard computer, monitor, high-resolution camera and a microphone so the physicians can communicate virtually.
Using the telemedicine technology, H1VN specialists can remotely examine SCHC patients suffering from neurological events, stroke-like conditions and behavioral health episodes, according to the report. The H1VN physician is also able to access the patient’s medical records.
