Center for Connected Health Policy Executive Director Mario Gutierrez dies

Mario Gutierrez, executive director of the Center for Connected Health Policy, died last week, according to the Politico Morning eHealth newsletter.

Mr. Gutierrez had been with the nonprofit telehealth policy resource organization since 2010, which was part of his more than 30-year career in health and health philanthropy.

Prior to joining CCHP, Mr. Gutierrez served for 12 years as program director for The California Endowment and six years as senior program officer for the Sierra Health Foundation, according to his CCHP staff bio. In 2007, he was recognized with the Terrance Keenan Leadership Award in Health Philanthropy.
