One Medical plans to open its first primary care office next year in Westchester County, N.Y., in affiliation with Montefiore, a 10-hospital academic system, with more locations to follow. The Amazon subsidiary has similar specialty care referral agreements across the country with 20 health systems, including Cleveland Clinic and Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham.

“As we look to the future of healthcare, our responsibility continues to be sustaining high-quality care that is delivered locally and in the most appropriate setting,” said Montefiore President and CEO Philip Ozuah, MD, PhD, in a Jan. 29 press release shared with Becker’s. “Our collaboration with Amazon One Medical will enhance primary care offerings across the communities we serve and ensure those with needs for specialty care have the option to be seen and treated by our world-renowned clinicians.”

One Medical offers a subscription-based model for primary care, with online booking for same-day in-person appointments and 24/7 access to telehealth.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
