5 school districts adopting telehealth programs

School districts across the country are using telehealth to provide care to their students, and telehealth companies are looking at school districts as potential customers.

Five schools adopting telehealth services

  1. Houston-based Children’s Memorial Hermann partnered with Hazel Health to expand telehealth services to schools across 12 counties in Texas.
  2. The Department of Veterans Affairs opened up telehealth sites for veterans at Missoula-based University of Montana and Bozeman-based Montana State University.
  3. Hazel Health partnered with Prince George’s County, Md., to offer telehealth services to students. 
  4. Tuskegee (Ala.) University rolled out a telehealth station on campus through a partnership with OnMed.
  5. Oklahoma City-based OU Health partnered with Oklahoma City Public Schools to provide telehealth services to students, Fox25 reported Nov. 2.
