Report: The 8 EHR Vendors Physicians Are Switching To

According to a Black Book Rankings survey of physician practices that have been experiencing "deal-breaking dissatisfaction" with their electronic health records system, 81 percent are currently on track to replace the system within 12 months.

Using data from seven previous polls, researchers identified the eight vendors that scored the highest among respondents in key categories, such as physician satisfaction, meaningful use attestation advancements and interoperability.

These high-scoring vendors are the ones physician groups are eyeing for replacement EHR systems. "Regularly, at least two of these eight vendors were on the short lists of 88 percent of the current replacement market buyers surveyed," said Doug Brown, managing partner of Black Book, in the news release.

The vendors include:

1. Vitera
2. Practice Fusion
3. Care360 Quest
4. Cerner
5. Greenway
6. GE Healthcare
7. ChartLogic
8. athenacare
