Q3 2016: McKesson has modest 3% revenue increase

For the third quarter of 2016, McKesson reported revenues of $47.9 billion, a slight 3 percent increase from the $46.5 billion in revenues from the third quarter of 2015.

Additionally, the healthcare company reported $647 million in net income, a 26.6 percent increase from the previous year’s $511 million.

“Our third-quarter results were in line with our expectations and I am pleased with the excellent progress we have made in expanding our global pharmaceutical sourcing scale, delivering operating margin improvements in the Technology Solutions segment and successfully executing on the Celesio acquisition synergies,” said John Hammergren, McKesson chairman and CEO, in an earnings call. “As we enter the final months of Fiscal 2016 and look to the future, I remain confident in our industry and the role we play in making the business of healthcare more efficient.”
