A survey of 164 U.S. physicians revealed their top reported challenges when it comes to the Internet:
- 58 percent said patients often misinterpret information gathered online, putting strain on their relationships with their physicians
- 51 percent said the information their patients read online often contains inaccuracies
- 14 percent said the Internet has made it more difficult to protect patient information
- 36 percent said all of the above were a concern
