Pebble Smartwatch Now Includes Fitness Tracker

The Pebble smartwatch now includes a fitness and activity tracker from Misfit, makers of a tracking technology previously only available through the company’s proprietary wearable, Shine, according to a VentureBeat report.

The Misfit technology and an integrated app allows Pebble wearers to track steps and measure other aspects of their activity, according to the report.

One of the first smartwatches, Pebble was funded by $10 million in small-dollar donations on crowdfunding site Kickstarter. The device was officially released in 2013.
