St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., is using a reservation program to limit the amount of time patients spend in the ED, according to a WMCTV report.

InQuickER allows patients to make appointments online rather than showing up and waiting in the ED. When they register online, patients share their chief complaint, medications they are currently taking and their medical history, allowing ED staff to obtain this information prior to their visit.

The reservation costs $15, which is refundable if the patient is not seen within 15 minutes of the set appointment time.
