Orion Health hires former Allscripts exec as US market president: 5 notes

Orion Health, a health technology company, named Terry Macaleer president of its U.S. operations.

Here are five notes:

1. Mr. Macaleer previously served as senior vice president of sales at Allscripts.

2. Most recently, he was SVP of client engagement and sales at Anthelio Healthcare Solutions.

3. He was also the co-founder of Eclipsys, a publicly traded EHR company that later merged with Allscripts.

4. Mr. Macaleer was the founder of Carefx, a software company that aims to streamline clinical and business workflow.

5. Mr. Macaleer succeeds Wayne Oxenham, who held the role for 18 months on a fixed-term basis. Mr. Oxenham will be relocating back to New Zealand-based Orion Health’s corporate headquarters.
