ONC Seeks “Accelerators” to Help With HIEs

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals to help the department accelerate the adoption of health information exchanges across the country.

These outside experts, known as HHS External Entrepreneurs, would work with the ONC for a period of between six and 12 months to develop “toolkits” to foster the adoption of HIEs among providers not eligible for CMS incentive programs.
