Ohio State University Medical Center Expands Telestroke Services

Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus is expanding its telestroke capabilities to allow smaller hospitals to consult with OSU Medical Center neurologists in real time, according to a news release.

OSU Medical Center physicians will be able to access patients’ information remotely and rapidly make treatment decisions. The Ohio hospitals involved in the program include Barnesville (Ohio) Hospital, Coshocton (Ohio) County Memorial Hospital, Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge, Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, Lima (Ohio) Memorial Hospital and St. Rita’s Medical Center, also in Lima.
