Combined with the nine patients who received copies of their medical records in the mail last week, at least 16 Boulder Foothills patients have been affected by the data breach.

It is still unclear whether the anonymous source is taking the medical records from inside of the hospital or from somewhere outside on the hospital’s campus, according to the report.

The hospital is working with law enforcement and a private investigator to fully investigate the matter.
