Earlier this year, legislation requiring private payers to cover telemedicine services was passed in the state, according to the report.
“Congress needs to follow our lead and make sure our seniors on Medicare can see the same benefits as everyone else, thanks to the new legislation we passed in 2015. Reforms that can help cut costs and increase quality of care are a win for taxpayers and a win for patients,” said Minnesota Rep. Glenn Gruenhagen (R-Glencoe), according to the report.
