Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System established the MemorialCare Technology and Training Center powered by Sirius Computer Solutions, which offers technology-based business solutions.
The facility aims to facilitate healthcare IT innovation, experimentation, meeting and training. The facility includes a standalone, isolated data center and simulation lab as well as EHR capabilities. It also features a meeting and training space. It provides a space to test and pilot clinical solutions.
"The MemorialCare Technology and Training Center Powered by Sirius is a non-production environment where we can rigorously and rapidly test the very latest information systems, upgrades and medical technologies," said Kevin Torres, vice president of information systems at MemorialCare.
MemorialCare is a five-hospital system that also includes medical groups, outpatient health centers, imaging centers, breast centers, surgical centers and dialysis centers in California.
