With Nuance’s Dragon Medical Embedded speech-recognition software, clinicians can dictate, review and complete patient records through voice controls in the web-based EHR. The software includes accent detection, medical language models and microphone calibration, with a cloud-based profile that adapts to a user’s speech over time, according to Nuance.

This collaboration marks the first time Meditech and Nuance have worked together on Meditech’s cloud-based product. The companies have partnered in the past to integrate solutions into other Meditech EHRs.
